Clothesline shadows for shadow Shot Sunday

Six little dresses to take to my granddaughter , Molly, who will wear only dresses on these summer days. Their shadows on our lawn inder the clothesline dance merrily in the breeze reminding me of those long ago days when wearing a new dress was a very special occasion.

Six little dresses, hanging on the line,
Add three more and then you have nine!

SHADOW DANCE

Shadows here and shadows there,
Shadows, shadows everywhere!
Shadows left and shadows right;
Shadows dancing through the night!
Shadows crouching on the wall;
Shadows spring and shadows fall
On the unsuspecting guest,
Who thought shadows offered rest!

Wonderful shadows being cast by pretty little dresses held by such colorful clothes pins.
I too loved wearing dresses in the summer as a child. But then, my wardrobe consisted of mostly dresses as the school I attended only allowed dresses. Even in winter we wore them. We could wear pants underneath while walking to school, but they had to be removed and hung with our coats in the big coat room until our return home.

Hope your grand daughter enjoys the dresses and that bird didn't leave any little gifts on them or fly away with any of those pretty clothespins.

So sweet and colourful!
I'm longing for summer days and summer dresses, here in Australia.
Everything is better in summer, especially the shadows.
