The Horse Pull: One Single Impression

old friends meet and greet
crowds gather around the field
to watch the horse pull

pulling together
feat of strength and endurance
seven thousand pounds

huge hooves biting dirt
both resolved to do their best
heavy loads are pulled

harnessed workhorses
patiently await their turn
hitched to the post fence

.
These haiku lines were created in response to the word, 'resolve', which is this week's prompt at One Single Impression. For more poetry on this theme please visit the hosting site.

Wow...what wonderful horses and beautiful photos showing their resolve to pull together. Is this a yearly event where you live or somewhere else?

What a wonderful progression of haikus and horses. Esepcially like the last horse, looking out like he's saying 'So long!'

Great images and very interesting take on resolve. Plenty of resolve to pull 7,000 pounds sure.

Each image and haiku led me further into 'resolve'. Very nice.

That is "resolve" at its very best.

Can you explain easily how you made the photo link for this blog for on your other blog? I'd like to do that with my new quilt blog. I looked in "gadgets" but didn't see anything that sounded like it.

If you want to include a photo with your link, just click on the 'picture' gadget and fill in the following.

title: name of your blog

caption: write whatever you want here about your blog as there seems to be room for quite a bit. I wrote a whole paragraph.

link: the url of your new blog

image: whatever picture you want to use from your computer.

When it is completed you should be able to click on your picture and get to your new blog!

Good luck, let me know if it doesn't work.
