What a BIG ship! The Queen Mary 2.

Yesterday I was entering Saint John city in new Brunswick driving towards Harbor Bridge when I looked up and

I saw a large ocean liner in the harbor.
I hoped to get some good photos of it while crossing the bridge ( I was not driving), however the bridge is under some sort of construction or repair and there is a screen or wire erected at the center part and it is difficult to see the ship in the harbor from there.is get one photo of the side of the ship and I could  read its name WOW!!!


 The Queen Mary 2.  I so hope the ship is still there when we cross the harbour on our way home again today!!!

An old historical barn for Barn Charm

This barn is on the grounds of the historical Currie House Museum at Fredericton Junction .

Round for Thursday's Challenge

 The round opening end of this drainage pipe has always fascinated me.  There are two drainage pipes. at this location going under the railroad tracks, which are above it. this particular pipe appears to me to be too high as most of the year as the bottom lip of the pipe seems to be above the water level.  However in the springtime the water levels risers and the pipe serves its purpose allowing excess water to drain from the pond area that it is bordering. The other drainage pipe at this location appears to have a more useful purpose as I have seen ducks swim through the pipe accessing a pond area on the other side of the railroad tracks.

Round Candies or bubblegum in  display jar in a store.  I liked the colours and I took the picture without even thinking of the challenge but it works well here!!

house memories

                                             This little  downstairs room was used as a sitting room.

                                           This large wall bookcase in the kitchen, living room, "Common Room",
                                             was always filled with books.

                                             We had the large window at the peak especially made for that location.

                                          The small half door at the ceiling peak was found discarded in an old barn,                                            and we removed the porcupine chewed lower half before my husband restored it to a useable condition.

The fan shaped insert at the top of the bookcase was carved by my husband.

                                          The closet doors in the master bedroom,

                                             This owl carving was carved by my husband and it
                                             served as a newel post at the bottom of our stairs. I regret having left it behind.

                                          Our upstairs family room. The wood panelling was designed and installed                                              by my husband.

                                          The family room had an open beam construction.
