red blossom and signal light for Ruby Tuesday

Looking out my window this morning this red blossom seems representative of this new month of February. Only 4 weeks now until March! unbelievable! To me red represents February. as its heart month and the month we celebrate Valentines. I had hoped a bird might flyby as I was taking the picture, it would be a redpoll ( appropriate for the meme today, but there were no redpolls in sight. )
For my second Ruby Tuesday offering I spied this RR crossing signal light blinking red yesterday. It seldom has occasion to flash anymore as a train never crosses this crossing these days but it was a little small machine equipped with railroad wheels on it for it could double as a highway vehicle also. But it was great to see its red light flashing as it is a seldom sighting for me.

Got photos with red want to share them?To check out other postings on Ruby Tuesday just click on the Ruby logo on the side bar or here:http://workofthepoet.blogspot.com/. My appreciative thanks to Mary/the teach for hosting this meme

Sometimes it seems we will never get over the cold, then just a month or two later I complain about the heat. Oh, well! I never have had much luck with geraniums, inside or out.

Love the nice bokeh background of the geranium shot!

This gorgeous carnation really made my day! What a color. . .and you are very clever to have noticed something so 'pedestrian' as this light. All nicely done.
Happy Tuesday!

Carletta,
Thanks to you for the introduction to the word "bokeh"

Don't you just love it when you're at the right place at the right time, as you were when the RR signal started flashing?

SEEING RED

Tonight, my dear, I’m seeing red—
Or is it puce or rose?
Whatever’s going round my head
Is tingling all my toes.

My heart, my dear, becomes inflamed
With passion sore ablaze;
Perhaps it is because I miss
Your glowing, crimson gaze.

Whate’er the cause, my face is flushed
Like a ripened cherry,
No longer healthy, but inflamed—
See the vessels serry*?

A certain sanguine aftertaste
Is clinging to my tongue,
For I have kissed your ruby lips—
To which the claret clung.

*serry – (archaic) to crowd closely together
