Highlighting Shadows: for Shadow Shot Sunday

For a brief few moments, the brilliant light from the setting sun drove away the darkening shadows of approaching evening and highlighted the trees and woods around my yard with gold!

My appreciative thanks to Tracey, at Hey Harriet, the host of Shadow Shot Sunday for this interesting idea; for more information on this shadow meme, please click on the icon in the side bar.

The contrast between shadow and the brilliant color is wonderful. Very nice shots!

Beautiful!!! As the landscape is being swallowed by the night, you have captured it's last fleeting moments of majesty.

I love the fence shot below, I am continually wondering the countryside looking for beautiful Iowa...it is easy to find...bummer about the tire though, but funky metal shot with tale to match...ha!

I love it when this happens with the sun, even if only for a few moments!

Love the gold color Ann. All the gold from around here has turned to white, and I for one miss it. Fall is just too short.

It looks like a perfect time of day to shoot photos. They are almost throw-aways at full noon, but at the right angle are award winners.
